It is also possible to develop custom processing functions using Visual-Basic and Preactor ACTIVE-X librairies, and incorporate them seamlessly in the application. Within Preactor APS module, a feature (OPB: Open Planning Board) allow user-defined development of complex scheduling rules. This is used when all existing standard rules do not fully meet the customer requirements. This solid architecture explains how the same product, without changes to the core programs, can be used in such a variety of sectors and can support all production processes and methods. Standard configuration templates exists for most industries and can be reused to minimize consulting in the configuration process. In many cases, no additional configuration will be necessary.
